Good Power is open to anyone with a smart meter at their property. If you’re not sure whether you have one, your current energy provider can confirm this for you. Smart meters are now common across most NZ homes, so chances are you’re already set up and ready to go.

We currently service most properties across New Zealand. Whether you’re in Hamilton, a nearby town, or further afield, there’s a good chance we can help. Get in touch if you’re unsure – we’re happy to check your address and let you know.

Payments are straightforward. We bill you regularly based on your energy usage. You can pay by direct debit or bank transfer, whichever works best for you. The best part? A portion of every payment goes directly into the Good Power fund, which supports our community partners doing vital work across New Zealand. So every time you pay your power bill, you’re also helping someone else.

As a Good Power customer, you have access to a range of additional support through our community partner Vinnies Hamilton. This includes the Healthy Homes Programme, LED Light Initiative, budgeting support, food assistance, and the Curtain Bank. Once you’ve completed the sign-up process, you’ll receive a confirmation by email with all the details of your new plan. If you haven’t heard back within a couple of days, feel free to reach out to us directly and we’ll make sure everything is sorted. We want getting started to be as smooth as possible.
